Fulcrum is the Design Engineer of this new one-story, 2100 sf building on Port of San Francisco property. The mat slab of this educational center is to be built over building material landfill – a soft landfill with clay liner. The project is to achieve LEED Platinum classification; it has a green, multi-level roof, structural insulated panels, very high fly ash content concrete, and houses a “living machine” (a self-contained waste recycling system). It is currently in construction.
